We love this trend for fall and winter 2012 and hope it sticks around. These shiny pieces are perfect for the holiday season for those extra special soirees when we all welcome a little extra sheen. Here’s a few ideas on how to wear metallics:
Pair metallics with neutral colours. For example, a metallic silver skirt with a nude coloured blouse looks tres chic!
Try leather jewelry and accessories with silver studs for an edgy and trendy look.
If all else fails, paint your nails in a shiny silver, gold or copper shade- always a winner and safe bet for those afraid to go overboard on this trend. Same goes for using a metallic eye shadow to complete your look.

What’s your favourite metallic shade- silver, gold, copper, or bronze?
A little black dress is pretty much always a hit no matter the occasion. What really makes it special is how the dress is accessorized. Take your LBD look to a whole new level by adding the perfect necklace as the finishing touch. Want to go all out? Add a metallic statement necklace. Want to keep it casual? Have fun with beads. Need a look for a semi formal event or Christmas party? Try a cool tribal necklace. We’ll be showcasing different looks to give you plenty of inspiration on what to wear with your LBD. We’re going to focus on necklaces for this post.
For an ultra glamourous touch to your ensemble, try a beaded statement necklace in rich shades of copper, gold and silver like our Copper Beaded Necklace.
For a trendy tribal look, try a statement tribal necklace with long spikes in a patterned bronze design like our Tribal Spike Necklace in Bronze.
For a pop of colour and pattern, add a pendant style necklace in a turquoise and red pattern with hints of gold like our Tribal Pendant Necklace.
Black and white is always a chic colour combination. Try it in a threaded style with your lbd like our Black and White Beaded Necklace.
Which is your favourite necklace? Which one do you think would go best with a little black dress?
Timeless and elegant, the little black dress is a staple item that every woman should have in her closet. As made famous by Coco Chanel, the lbd can easily be dressed up or down in a jiffy. Its amazing how one simple dress can be transformed into different chic and stylish looks for, multiple occasions. We love the small details found on this dress in the dainty lace embellishment around the entire bottom hem. This flirty little feature completes the dress giving it a lady like touch.
We took this boat neck short sleeved little black dress and paired it with a funky tribal inspired statement necklace, a brightly hued belt in mint green for a pop of colour, and a wrist full of chunky khaki coloured bangles. The gold and bronze tones found in the jewelry looks great with solid black, highlighting one of our favourite colour combinations for fall and winter! We’ll be showcasing many more black and gold looks as well as little black dresses from our unique collection.
For a more casual look, wear the dress with leggings in any colour or try trendy patterned ones. Add an over sized sweater that ties at the waist, toss on a lace scarf, and add knee high boots. Jewelry could be kept at a minimum. For a dressier look, add statement jewelry, sheer tights, high heels, and wear your hair in a chic up-do for a party or event. Experiment by adding accessories to your little black dress. Style it based on whether you want to dress it up or down.
Turquoise should not be a summer only colour. Agree or disagree? How many ladies love to wear turquoise all year round? At Indiverve, we think its a definite do! The key to wearing turquoise in the fall is to pair it with dark colours. Or break all rules and wear it with light colours, normally meant for the summer. We love turquoise on jewelry so we’ll focus on how to wear it with clothing and colours you probably already have in your closet. Try the following alluring colour combinations.
1) Turquoise and Pink
The turquoise pieces in this necklace really pop against a light pink top.
Lovely black & white look featuring our Beaded Checkered Necklace
Threaded necklaces are very unique and versatile types of jewelry. They can be casual and fun or very glamorous depending on the look you’re striving for on a particular day. Threaded necklaces would definitely fall into the boho chic category mostly because they’re decorated with beads in natural materials. Our threaded necklaces are made from glass and wooden beads painted in stunning colours. Strong threads are then laced, by hand, and knotted amongst the beads creating a stylish woven look. We love the layered look of our threaded necklace collection. Each necklace has at least three layers of beads creating a unique statement look perfect for any occasion.
Simple to wear, these necklaces can bring a plain top to life! Think good old trusty t-shirts or long sleeved shirts in neutral shades like white, black, grey or brown to keep the style effortless looking. Wear the necklace with jeans or to jazz up a little black dress ensemble. We particularly like the lime green hued necklace paired with a charcoal grey top or dress. These two colours look surprisingly delightful together!

We adore the look of beaded jewelry. The colours, shapes and sizes of beads is truly endless making it easy to find a unique and stunning piece of jewelry to suite any personality. Beaded jewelry is great if you’re not into wearing bold printed clothing but still want to incorporate an exotic touch into your style.
Use beaded jewelry to spice up a little black dress or plain white t shirt and jeans look. Remember not to over do it by wearing everything at once! The trick is to have one bold piece that stands out, not a whole bunch that causes a huge distraction. We love beaded jewelry because of the cool bohemian look that can be created by wearing it. Beads made of wood, bone and glass are our favourite.
This black and white beaded necklace is threaded together to create a lovely layered look.
Tribal Beaded Earrings made of colourful seed beads carefully crafted into a funky pattern.
Beaded Bracelet in Turquoise are woven together with hints of gold beads creating a stunning boho style bracelet.
Which beaded piece is your favourite? The necklace, earrings or bracelet?
We’ve recently placed our very first orders for the merchandise coming soon to our online store. Recently, we were sent some images of other available pieces of jewelry and in particular, necklaces. As usual, we need help deciding which ones we should order and get put into production.
We love the mixture of gold chains twisted with vibrant blue beads in the first image. The second necklace is a nice casual beaded piece in a neutral brown that would perk up any outfit in an instant. Third, we have a funky necklace with double stranded wooden brown and fuchsia beads for an earthy, boho look. Finally, there’s the ultra glam multi stranded statement necklace in a deep and striking turquoise blue colour.
Keeping in line with spring 2012′s plethora of bold colours and prints, we showcase some of our favourite looks that we put together recently at our very first fashion photo shoot using our collection of scarves. It was a lot of fun coming up with these looks together with the limited time we had that day.
Get creative with your scarves and as the weather warms up, consider wearing one as a top, as a dress (if you’re petite it will be even easier for you), or as a skirt where you could tie it sarong style or wrap it as a mini skirt. All you need are safety pins to fasten the scarf securely after wrapping it around your body in your chosen style. We mostly used scarves that measured 30 x 70 inches.
These outfits pictured are proof that scarves aren’t limited to only being worn around your neck or as a bathing suit cover up. We encourage getting creative and wearing them in fun and different ways!
Here, we used one scarf as a tube top, one as a skirt with leggings, and completed the look with a beaded statement necklace in copper.
The same scarves were used for this look but we added another pink patterned scarf worn as a shawl.
For this look we used our lace, tie dyed scarf as a one-shoulder top with jeans, plus we draped another scarf around the model’s arms.
Here’s the same tie dyed scarf is simply worn as a shawl over a plain black tank top with jeans.
We draped our paisley printed turquoise scarf as a one shoulder dress and added chunky jewelry to this look.
We used just one striped scarf as a sleeveless dress with skinny jeans and then tied another scarf as a belt for this look.
Which look is your favourite? Would you try any of these scarf styles?
