4 Celebrity Boho Looks We Adore

Today, we bring to you a post on celebrity bohemian style that we cannot get enough of and absolutely adore! These ladies know how to work the boho trend and we look to them for some mega style inspiration. Although we love Nicole Richie aka. the queen of boho style, we will not be including her in this post. You can read an older post on her ultra hip style here. The ladies we’re featuring tend to regularly rock the boho look and we’re impressed at how well they express their own personal style- something that’s easy to do when you add pattern, chunky jewelry, and lots of bold colour to your look!

1) Rachel Zoe

Stylist, Rachel Zoe, was a pioneer of boho style, her go-to look being oversized jewelry and loose-fitting clothing. We love that she’s sporting sequins, a bangle, and a chunky cocktail ring in the below image:

The naturally beautiful Jessica Biel usually goes for ultra feminine and flowy styles, which we adore. She knows how to effortlessly pull off a casual, bohemian look. We heart her in this Glamour UK jewelry and make-up look, below:

We didn’t realize how often Miss Klum actually goes boho! Whether she’s casually stepping out or attending an A-list event, she often plays with pattern and accessories looking nothing but totally chic! We love her colourful scarf, below, it reminds us of our own scarf collection!

4) Kate Bosworth

Famous for her California boho style, Kate Bosworth is a major summer music festival attendee making her a huge influence on casual, flower child- like fashion. She’s also great at pulling off a more sophisticated look, when the time calls for it. She looked fantastic in this look, below, for Nylon magazine.

Tribal Jewelry Inspiration

We adore the tribal look and how it has influenced bohemian fashion and style. Eclectic, unique, detailed, funky and intricate are just a few words used to describe tribal style. Its interesting to see how the tribal look has become popular in modern and mainstream fashion even though its very traditional and has been worn by women for centuries in many parts of the world- a good example of how fashion recycles itself over and over again over many years.

Tribal style transcends borders and is worn and influenced by all women from well-known celebrities to traditional women who wear it every day as part of their wardrobe. Indian tribal jewelry, in particular, has influenced our designs at Indiverve. We’re in love with the intricate, complicated patterns of tribal jewelry, which we feel are true pieces of art.

Below, we put together our own toned down version of a tribal jewelry look using all of our jewelry from store.indiverve.com. We paired silver and copper tribal cuff bracelets with leather ones and added bright pops of turquoise and fuchsia chunky cocktail rings to complete the look. Choose several pieces together for a bold tribal look, or just one or two for a simplistic look.

Pretty in Pink

Pink is the most feminine of colours. Feel pretty in pink while conveying warmth and compassion when wearing this attention grabbing shade. We adore pink on jewelry and accessories for a sweet pop of colour and bright burst of energy. Pairing pink with black is always a winner- think pink when styling your little black dress. We also love it with clean, crisp white or rich chocolate brown. Another bright idea is pairing pink with a lighter or lime green. Sounds like an odd combination but it looks refreshing together.

Pink is glamourous when paired with gold accents like our Colour Block Bangle in Pink and Chandelier Earrings in Fuchsia Stones in a deeper  hue. It also looks divine with silver accents subtley in our Wooden Boho Necklace in Fuchsia and Pink Stone Cocktail Ring crafted with a vintage twist. Add a pop of cotton candy pink over a simple outfit for instant style with our Lace Scarf in Pink Patches.

Jewelry Poll: Fuchsia Stone Cocktail Rings

We were busy unpacking our recent arrival of cocktail rings the other day and were happy to see that they were made in various styles. We love them all and can’t figure which ones will be the most popular! They all have a unique look to them and we found that not all fuchsia pink  patterns are alike on each stone. Some have a striped look to them, while others remained more of a solid colour. The exquisitely detailed silver etched border surrounding the stones stayed the same.

We can’t wait to have these beauties, as well as our other funky rings, on www.indiverve.com! For tips and advice on how to wear cocktail rings, check out our blog post “The Cocktail Ring: A Delightful Accessory.”

Tell us what you think. Take a minute to vote on the poll below and let us know which shape is your favourite out of a round, teardrop, or square shape?

The Cocktail Ring: A Delightful Accessory

What Is It?
The cocktail ring is an over sized and ultra dramatic piece of jewelry usually worn on the right ring finger or index finger. Some can be worn on the thumb as well. There’s no one set style for a cocktail ring and the possibilities in design and shape are endless. Cocktail rings can be worn at special occasions or as part of a casual jeans and tee outfit- there really are no rules because its meant to be a fun look. Best of all is cocktail rings come in so many different varieties and price ranges so you don’t have to spend a fortune on one if you don’t choose to.
A Brief History
Cocktail rings first came into fashion in the 1930s during prohibition in the U.S. where women liked to flaunt them at illegal cocktail parties. The rings grew in popularity during the 1940s and 1950s, as cocktail parties continued to be popular events. Many people still wear cocktail rings with huge diamonds or other large gems for dressy events and occasions. You’ll often see celebrities wearing them at high profile award shows, like the Oscars, as part of their ensemble. The cocktail ring continues to be a fun accessory to help add some glamour to any outfit.
Tips and Tricks:
  • The bigger the better, and the more dramatic and unique, the better. Cocktail rings are an amazing conversation starter.
  • Less is more when donning the cocktail ring so be sure to keep the rest of your jewelry to a minimum if wearing any in addition to your ring.
  • You’re drawing attention to your fingers and hands when you wear a cocktail ring so jazz it up even more by polishing your nails in a complementary shade.
  • Remember to keep it elegant and only wear one cocktail ring at a time.
  • Cocktail rings are not restricted to evening events so switch it up a bit and try wearing a cocktail ring during the day to glam up a casual outfit.
  • Try sporting a cocktail ring with a little black dress or match it with one of spring’s brightly coloured dresses for an extra chic look.
  • Most of all, have fun wearing it and letting your quirky fashion side show 🙂
